Thumbs up

Trolltech has decided to GPL QT. This should somewhat dampen the Gnome/KDE holy war that has been going on as of late (although other issues remain). KDE will probably be included in Debian now also.

Well, 5 years later it still hasn't dampened that debate and is still causing flame wars on certain tech news sites.

Then I am not in a position to re-ignite the debate in this thread... :-)

The debates sometimes get too emotional... Other example is the bitkeeper debate.

If from simply a 'developer' point of view, Qt is such a nice lib to work with. And I am glad their lic give me a chance to try it out fully in Linux.

Well...In fact there's a reason to post into this thread. Not too long ago Trolltech has decided to go with GPL for Windows version. Finally. But this was already discussed
