qt beginner question

Does QT come with Linux? If it does not, can I install it from repositories with yum, apt-get, or emerge? If I download qt from the website, is it simple to install? I am at the library on a non-linux computer. I will try when i get home. What are widgets? I am not using QT commercialy. Is there a way I can download it from its website for free? I was told there was, but I could not find it.

1) Yes, any distribution that comes with KDE as a desktop will have QT.
2) Yes, you can install it afterwards using a package manager if it does not come by default.
3) Somewhat simple, although if you're using a package manager it's better to use that.
4) Widgets are what make up a GUI. They are the individual pieces you put together to make a complete GUI.
5) It's somewhat hidden, but go here http://www.trolltech.com/download/opensource.html or more specifically http://www.trolltech.com/download/qt/x11.html for Linux.
