This is just an idea, please try only if you need more risk in your OS.
wxPython is offered by www.rpmfind.org
as a package. The problem is that only the current version is available at that site, and is dependent on versions of Python-devel and wxwin-devel which each or both require Redhat 9, I think (newbie, take info with care)
I would look to install python-devel first, and try a sample python program. You could use the sample under www.python.org
to do this.
Distribution: PLD 1.0 (Ra)
Vendor: PLD (Notice that PLD is NOT Redhat)
wxPython requires python-devel and wxwin-devel
python-devel >= 2.2 (This requires Redhat 9, but possibly you could try it)
wxwin-devel = 2.3.1
Determine whether GTK or OpenMotif is more appropriate for Redhat 7.2, then
(Try at your own risk the following)
for openmotif/x11 ftp://188.8.131.52/linux/PLD/curre...3.2-4.i386.rpm
or for GTK
Download the file(s) above, and type rpm -i <thefilename>.
Then if these do not work, then uninstall (rpm -u %file).
Else go to www.wxwindows.org,
click on download (left menu), and try the wxX11 2.4.2 stable release.
