I need to write a serial routine for Linux, but I want to use my Windows box to write it. If I write the routine on Windows and get it working on windows, will the software successfully port over to Linux?
Not sure as I'm not familiar with Python. I know TCL scripts work on both.
One warning (and that's why I replied): line ends in dos/windows differ from those in Unix/Linux. This might make life difficult. So either use an editor in windows that can store the file in Unix format or convert them on your linux box before running them (I haven't found that function in Slack, so I use sed when I have to convert).
