Emacs - an editor (a smart editor), a compiler, a personal psychiatrist, etc
P.S. I forgot the links GNU Emacs home page

vi/vim has both *nix and Win32 varieties. I have used this one for a while but I think I'm going to broaden my horizons and look at some other editors.

I like vi/vim b/c it's simple to navigate with and isn't to hard to figure out. Also, it has a ton of features for those who like to super-tweak.

I don't like Emacs b/c it's just too many keys to press to do things (no offense to emacs users). Its all a matter of taste though.

You are welcome, there're also slick IDE's for programming check out

You might find something of interest there too, I personaly use both vi and Emacs. But my preferences switched not that long ago to use Emacs for my programming needs - edit, compile and debug code.

Advance Text Editor in Linux is pretty good, Emacs is excellent, and also has a windows version, not too sure what the address is, or where you can get it though.
