ppp / pppd

I am attempting to build ppp / pppd for an embedded ARM Linux system.

I have downloaded the ppp package from http://ppp.samba.org.

However after successfuly compiling it I notice there is no ppp application, just pppd, pppdump and pppstats. Any idea how and where I can get / create the ppp applciation?

pppd *is* the application. Other packages contain setup scripts and such which provide the means for establishing a connection.
