Porting 32 to 64 bit

Dear members,
help me out in following items.
1. Any tools are available for porting 32 to 64 bit C code.
2. Any testcases to uncover the caveats within the program
3. Is 64 bit lint application availble for use.
4. Any kind of check-list available for the porting ?.

The applications are running on Montavista Linux with 2.6.9 kernel and 64 bit OS.

thanks for sharing your knowledge.
