PNs spelling converter not working, what is wrong?

How to Write a Spelling Corrector
http://norvig.com/spell-correct.html

i copied the program and added correct('someword') at the end.

have tried with several different words but all return the mispelled word uncorrected.

except for "it" that becomes "t".

have i missed something?

>>> correct('speling')
'spelling'
>>> correct('korrecter')
'corrector'

i just get speling and korrecter again...
