The more descriptive the title, the better help you will get
the Please help me... does not describe the nature of your problem, the hardware of your computer or the disro or the desktop/window manager you use.
I'm nice and I look at these vague pleas for help. Many others will skip over these posts for something more descriptive.
This is open source. Others have done as you have asked. Look at how the programs work. I'm a long ways from knowing anything about C, but perhaps you have the tools to 'crack the hood' for some programs that already exist?
