pkg-config didn't show up anything

in Fedora if I type pkg-config gtkmm-2.0, it will give me a lot of result. ( Of course after I installed gtkmm library ). I changed my Linux distro to Slackware. I have installed gtkmm library and its dependency. I type pkg-config gtkmm-2.0, I got no result. I have reinstalled the pkg-config from www.gtk.org . But didn't changed anything. I give up. If I cann't learn gtkmm programming in Slackware, maybe I choose wxWindows. I don't want to change my distro. Slackware is too sexy for me. Ok, guyz, what's wrong with my Slackware or pkg-config????

I have solved my problem.
The solution is:

cp /usr/local/lib/pkg-config/* /usr/lib/pkg-config/

That's all. Thank you.
