PHP-XML Search Engine

Hello!

I have to write for the little company I am working for, a search engine in PHP that will find keywords in XML files. I've wrote one but it's not great, I want a really good one. I've found many for MySQL databases but none for XML.
Does anyone know a free one or a site with a good tutorial/howto?
I need the search for the exact search words, a search for every keyword, pagination of the results.

In what way is your search related to XML? I mean: are your keywords XML entities, or XML attributes? Or do you have to match the search string anywhere EXCEPT in tags? Or is it simply "full-text string search" inside XML files?

Second question: what will be the status of the work you do in your company? In case someone suggests a GPL software, are you positive you won't break the GPL licence?
