php exec


Do you have any ideas on how could I make a script in php that will run a shell command. I want something more like putty(or something like that) just that I connect though a web page.

Initially I wanted to use the exec function to execute a command like "ls > file.txt" and after that to get the content of the file.txt with another module of my php.

I was thinking... Perhap's you could get some ideas from the PHP based explorer...
