PHP & Apache Issue? Plz help!

hey guys. something really strange is happening on my lil webserver I just set up.

I set up php, apache, mysql the way I always do. The server is just a lil p3-450 with windows xp on it. yeah i know its windows... but meh. it was already working so I used it lol.

Anyways, i've made a phpinfo.php page which I always do just to test to make sure its working and it brings me back all of the variables and everything. So assumed all was good. So I wrote a little template for a page that includes 3 other php pages and I noticed it wasn't including them.

To make a long story short, my phpinfo page works, but not really. All that is in the my phpinfo.php page is this

Code:
<?

phpinfo();

?>
And that works. And when I make it like this:

Code:
<?

phpinfo();

asdfasdfasdfasdfsadfsdf

?>
It still runs fine... So what the hell is going on? Its like its running the php, but not finding the error message. So clearly php isn't working quite as it should. Any suggestions would be great while I continue to search around to find some help. Thanks guys.

oops. I figured it out. I just had some weird network thing going on, where it was remotely viewing the file from the location instead of running the page. My bad. Any moderators feel free to delete this post.
