Perl and drawing lines

I am starting to work on a new project at work. This new menu app will be access through a telnet session. Is there a way using perl to draw lines and position text on the screen. I am looking into creating a very basic menu system that works on a telnet session.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The relevant technology for drawing graphics “characters” on a text screen (for menus, simulated windows and the like) is ncurses, which is supported by Perl through the Curses module from CPAN. Try a google search for “Perl ncurses”
