Passing AT commands to Phone through USB using Python

Hello,
I want to send AT commands to my mobile through USB using python(On windows7). Is it possible using USB??

which module should be used for it pyUSB, pySERIAL or pyVISA.

After searching a lot on net, i got confused and mixed one or more things in a single program. I just want to send the basic AT commands (on-off) to the mobile.

Thanks in Advance!!!

First, you should test it with minicom or similar program.

Er, are you sure your cellphone takes AT commands? Cellphones are not modems.

(No, but some of them have integrated modems.)

This is for serial, not USB, but it's still relevant:

1. The cell phone takes the AT commands.
2. Working fine with Hyper-terminal, but want to make work using python.

I am going through the links provided.
Do the above mentioned modules will be useful for the same??

Thanks for your time......
