Open office crashed my x server

Help openoffice crashed my x server.

I was running Kanotix and I decided to install openoffice. So I apt-get openoffice and everything seemed OK. I was able to use openoffice. But when I restarted my computer, I get the login prompt instead of a graphical login.
startx doesn't work. I have no x server . What should I do?
