Novice pythoncard question.......

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Well, this is sort of embarrassing. I can't even get pythoncard to start. I'm using Kubuntu Hardy. Pythoncard is installed. So says adept, anyway. It isn't listed in any menu, it isn't in /usr/bin. So I checked adept, under "installed files" and that says it should be in /usr/share/python-support/python-pythoncard but it isn't there, though adept says it should be. Ok, google is the next stop. No help, and the pages that do come up are about breezy.

Can anyone tell me how to even bring up minimal.py ? I am a novice to programing, but not to Linux. Well, I've done a little basic and a little perl, but not too much else.

Thanks much....

Yeah. I don't have a samples dir. I do have a /usr/share/pythoncard, but just these two files in it, no dir's.

pythoncard_config.txt stc-styles.cfg

No joy.

With Ubuntu you will have to install 3 packages to get
"PythonCard" .. (some other distros just 1 'PythonCard')

'python-pythoncard' , 'pythoncard-tools' , 'pythoncard-doc'

The '/usr/bin' files are in 'tools.
The samples '/usr/share/doc/pythoncard-doc/samples' in 'doc.

Good Luck!
