Not Finding pcibios_* functions in RHEL4 (2.6.9)..module compilation problem

Hi ppl,

I wanted to port my device driver to Redhat Entr Linux 4. I was able to compile my driver code on this machine with the new module format that is supported on 2.6.9. But after compiling the module, its giving the following warnings and not able to get inserted into the kernel when I tried to insert.

Here are the warings.....

/******************************************/

*** Warning: "pcibios_write_config_dword" [/root/swamy/test_drv.ko] undefined!

*** Warning: "pcibios_read_config_dword" [/root/swamy/test_drv.ko] undefined!

*** Warning: "pcibios_read_config_byte" [/root/swamy/test_drv.ko] undefined!

*** Warning: "pcibios_read_config_word" [/root/swamy/test_drv.ko] undefined!

*** Warning: "pcibios_find_device" [/root/swamy/test_drv.ko] undefined!

*** Warning: "pcibios_present" [/root/swamy/test_drv.ko] undefined!

/*******************************************/

Its a pci based driver. After making all the required changes, what I observed is, those pcibios_* functions are no more available in kernel-2.6.9. I think they might be replaced with some other equivalent functions in 2.6.9.

I will be happy if anybody can suggest the remedy for this problem.

Hoping to get a quick reply....bye ppl

swamy.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
