no core file


hi,
A C binary is not generating core file on segmentation fault.
ulimit -c command is giving output unlimited.Please suggest, I need to debug the program.

"Segmentation fault (core dumped)" is showing on exiting.

Have you tried the generate-core-file and the core-file commands?

Try:

ulimit -c unlimited

gcore command is serving the same .

is it a suid binary?
do you have write permissions in the directory the corefile will be dumped to?
check /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern and see.
