Unhappy new layer


hello ,
I will be gratefull if you can help me to resolve my problem:
I want to implement a new layer in the PPP protocol but I don't know how to proceed,I just demand if you can give me an idea how can I start.

I think that you need to provide a little more info. At what level are you wanting to insert this layer? What will the layer be doing?
