Netlink Kernel User-space communication code for 2.6.33, 2.6.34+ Kernels
 

Hi,

I am Kiran, founder/author of Traffic Squeezer - Open Source WAN Optimization solution.


I was struck, migrating the my Traffic Squeezer code base from kernel 2.6.21 to 2.6.34. The most complex Traffic Squeezer kernel core is migrated/ported easily.

But struck with porting the Netlink communication code.

Literally searched sore more than 60-100 references in internet, as well gone through the actual kernel source itself, cant figure out how can one get a simple netlink code (a simple user-kernel communication code) working up in the more recent kernels.

What I am really looking for is a simple tried tested usermode+kernel module sample netlink code, which is meant for 2.6.33+ kernels. If anyone have, please let know, or email me the same.
