Need inputs on OpenGazer

Hi All,

Have a good day !!!

I am using open gazer, able to build complete setup correctly on Ubuntu system and its is working. But not getting accurate point/place on screen where eyes are looking. So I capture the X,Y-coordinates in to one file from open gazer source code in outputmethodes.cpp file in store method.

As per my under standing the X, Y – coordinates are updating with OpenCV libraries. Here I have some doubts. Questions as follows.

Quarries:
1)How the X,Y-Coordinates are calculating in OpenGazer?
2)Where X, Y – coordinates are updating?
3)Could you tell the limitations of OpenGazer while eye tracking?
4)Is there any bug in OpenCv libraries?
5)What could be the proper way to get Accurate points through Open gazer?
6) Can you tell the Open gazer working principle to track eye movment?
7) is there any user manual to understand the opengazer source code ?

Could you please give required inputs. Your small inputs are also really helpful.

Regards,
Sambasivareddy.

hii samba,

i know this is a very late reply,.. but i hope it is useful for u.. u might have found a solution by this time.. but if u havent read on..

opengazer maps users eye gaze into system co-ordinates using gausian process.. but the accuracy is limited by the prime factor that resolution of our webcams are very less..

there are ofcourse high cost eye tracking devices like tobi eye tracker which costs around 30,000 USD or even more..

but using opengazer u can find and narrow done the region in the system which u are looking at after analyzing the output coordinates for some time..

hope it helps..
