mohaa spearhead DEMO for linux needed

Hey everyone

We are a community playing in a game called MoH Spearhead
Demo. This game is only available for Windows, but we need
it very urgently for Linux now.

A guy from the US (icculus.org) has already programmed
the official version of Spearhead for Linux. The fixed file, made
by ICCULUS, is called "spearhead_lnxded".

But we have just the Demo, which is not fixed yet. The files in
Demo (Windows) are not very different from the normal game
version (for Windows): There are "moh_spearhead_demo.exe"
and some dll's instead of "moh_spearhead.exe" and some dll's.
The folder of the cfg-files is "demota" instead of "mainta".

That's why I think it might be enough to rescript a little bit the
version of ICCULUS, or maybe you would have to convert the
Demo-exe...

If someone is able to find this out and do it, please answer me.
The programmer will be honored with an amount of money (we
can discuss about that).

Thank you for your answers!

Cheers,
2a-clan

That 'guy from the US' can probably configrm to you that there's a lot more to getting software to work on multiple platforms than 'rescript a little'. Hats off to him as he probably did a _lot_ of work to get that going. You might ask the developers to provide a linux version of the demo(more work for the same guy).

Yeah ofcourse we are really pleased that this guy translate software to linux, he is doing a great job. We also have contacted him about our issue, but unfortunally he dont respond to us. Thats why we ask other people if it is possible to do the job for us.

Is it an open-source project? Doesn't sound like it.
