Mapping Linux Drives on XP
Ok, Linux/windows question.
I have a Redhat 9 file server. I am runing Samba on it so windows machines can see it. every one in the office uses XP pro on a laptop. I am running in to a problem that when they take there laptop home for the light when they come back in the morning the machine does not reconnect to the network drives. Does any one know any DOS code that will map a network drive? -AG |
I take it doing the standard "right click" -> "Map Network Drive..." mapping it and slecting "connect at login" is not working like this?

No it is not. When you do that it works but when you take the laptop off of the network it forgets that there was a drive there.
