mailto: tag problem


hi,

this is abt the <a href=mailto:></a>

i want to know whats the maximum length of body that a mailto: tag can take. whenever the characters in body crosses 2000, outlook doesnt open.

is there any way to put any number of characters in the mailto: tag.

please help. thanks.

Congradulations on finding this limitation in the browser. You must have spent some time trying every length from 1 to 2000 until it stopped working.

Why on earth are you doing this?

Its probably a limitation of the browser, IE? I'm sure all browsers have limlits on mailto links as well, but I don't know or care how long they are. There's absolutely nothing you can do to get around this.
