looking for javascript development environment


I'm starting to learn javascript and so far I've been using gedit, which works fine, but I'm wondering if there are any ide's written for linux regarding javascript? I can find ones all day long for windows but I don't want to go there. Any recommendations? I'm using Debian Etch.

I'm confused as to what features you may be looking for
in a JS IDE. You have an HTML page with JS in it, you
edit it, you look at the result in a browser... where
does the IDE come into this?

That said: bluefish is a very nice HTML editor which will
let you launch a browser.

Well then maybe that's why I'm having trouble finding one? I'll check out bluefish, thanks.
