looking for DOOM source code
anybody know where i can get doom that does not use X for video output (Ether framebuffer, direct or DOS)?

Why? After following one of the google links, I found fourteen (14) DOS ports of DOOM. Why do you have to change the code over yourself?

i dont really like X, you always need to go to the console to get anything done.
BTW how did you do that google trick?
