Longest time Google waits until reindexing a website

Hi all. Since the question is related to websites' scripting, thought to place it here.

What is the longest time Google can hold reindexing of a website if the website is totally legit due to Google's point of view (you know, black SEO, etc...)? I read about how often search engines (re)index pages and I know that it depends on how "valuable" the website is and how often search engines see new data on it but what is the longest time?

I remember had once change a topic title, bu tit remained always the same for google, could search it only with the old title. Weeks after.

So has it been changed in Google's cache anyway?

I don't know, I would say not, though that story wa before 6-12 months
