Learn Sleuthkit with API (integrate Sleuthkit library into a C++ program)

Hi everyone,

I am new to forensics and I am trying to learn how to integrate the Sleuthkit library into an C++ program. So far I have found this site
somewhat helpful. But I find it very difficult to learn this just from just code documentation and examples (without explaining in the code what is being done). Does anyone know of a site or a book that gives good guidance on this matter?

Thanks in advance
