ld looking in the wrong dir

ok, in installed gcc-3.3.2 and binutils-2.14 into /usr/local/. the problem is that ld is looking /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-redhat-linux/egcs-2.91.66/ for certain object files and libs instead of looking in /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.2/ like it should. what is going on? i just did a normal ./configure for both.

thanks for the help.

Check your /etc/ld.so.conf file
It has a SEQUENCE of directories system looks for libraries.
After changing run /sbin/ldconfig
Might be it could help

Oleg.
