kernel debugging on remote system

Hello
I am working on a remote system logging into it with SSH for a driver code and want to use kernel debugging facility.
I tried for KDB and came to know that it can be useful only in console mode and
local machine, so not useful here.
Will KGDB solve the purpose.
Please correct me if imy understanding with KDB is wrong.

Thanks
Sudheer
