For one of my university projects I am working with KDevelop under Red Hat Linux 9. Unfortnately I can't seem to let it debug my project. It is based on the source code from dvgrab (kino.schirmacher.de/). I can compile and run dvgrab, but it doesn't respond to breakpoints. I also can't access the compiler settings tab, it's all greyed out.
Trying running the kdevelop setup application again. I can't remember exactly what it is called (and the machien I am posting from doesn't have kdevelop installed) and make sure it knows where dgb and all the other apps it might want to use are installed.
There is no problem debugging an entirely new projec. So I assume it knows where to find the debugger.
This project is created from existing source code (dvgrab). I can configure it, I can compile it, I can run it. I just can't debug it. I appears to halt in a startup thread, but it doesn't respond to breakpoints or stepping through the code. It as if it doesn't find dvgrab's source files, but they're all in the same directory?
I'm probably not creating the new project correctly? I use "Generate Project File..." in the "Project" menu. Then I "Add Existing File(s)...". What am I missing?
