How can I change the text in a Line Edit in Kdevelop 3?, I mean, it's supposed to be C++ but nothing works, all the tutorials and contents talk about WHAT cna you do with each widget, but none of them tell you the syntax of the code!!!!. .

Try Lazarus, a RAD IDE (Rapid Application Development - Integrated Development Environment) with form designed for developing multiplatform programs. You can find more information here: www.lazarus.freepascal.org/
and here: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/Main_Page
And there is also a screenshot here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lazarus_0.9.7.PNG

Which widget library are you using? I use Qt successfully.

You could post your code and then someone may be abel to provide more specific assistance.

Unhappy

I am usign QT too, but nothing works. I think I need a course, first about Linux, it's unbearable that is believed I'm going to learn by my own KDevelop and Linux at the same time, ALONE. I'm LEectronics Engineer after all, it's not as easy as me ybe for some others.

If you are familiar with c++ in general then you should go to the api.
It would help if you provided some of the code you tried so we could
see exactly what you doing wrong but if you go here http://doc.trolltech.com/3.3/qlineedit.html
look at the SLOT setText( const QString & ). So since it's a SLOT you need
to emit a SIGNAL to set it. If this doesn't make sense then you should do as
xhi suggested and start with the trolltech tutorials. SIGNALS and SLOTS are
easy once you understand them.

I hope that helps.

Zack
