KDevelop on FC4_x86_64 does not look in directory '/usr/lib64'

I just started with Kdevelop and when I tried to build a KDE simple application, it wouldn't find the libs in /usr/lib64 that was needed.
Where in KDevelop do I instruct it to look in the directory: /usr/lib64 ?

I got it to work by editing one of the script-files which KDevelop generates, but honestly I don't want to bother with them nor do I understand them. I want a more civilized way of including lib-dirs into my project. How?
