KDEVELOP 3.1 installed but still runs 3.0
Running KDEVELOP 3.1 on Mandrake 10.0, just installed from
procedure on
http://www.kdevelop.org/?filename=download.html
But when I run it from the Menu, it still runs the
Old 3.0 Kdevelop version
Any ideas??

It looks that the new version have not overwritten the old one. It may be because *PATH variables were not set exactly to point to old version, but other reasons are also possible. What you need to do now is to find where KDev 3.1 is. If you have the locate database up to date, just open a terminal and run
locate kdevelop
Among other things you should get locations of two kdevelop executables. Can you find them?

I am uninstallling the 3.0 and will re-install the 3.1 version...
let see if that helps...
3.0 version was installed with the Mandrake Linux CD...will let u know what happens

However, I cannot see the icon in my menu...How can I get ii to come on my menu...??

You need to add it yourself. When you're compiling from source the icon is not added. Open KDE Control Center, choose Look & Feel, Panels, Menu and then you'll have a button to modify the menu.
