KDE auto start script problem
I'm trying to run a script that has to be run from a terminal window. I want it to autostart with KDE, but all it does it open the files in kedit. They are saved as .sh executable files. How do I go about opening a terminal window then executing the scripts?

Probably the easiest way is to create an App Link to your script in the ~/.kde/Autostart directory.
1. Open Konqueror. 2. Change to the ~/.kde/Autostart directory. 3. Right click on any empty space. 4. Choose Create/Link to Application. 5. Give it a name. 6. Click the execute tab and type the full path to your script. 7. Check "Run in terminal". 8. Click OK. That's it :) Mike |
