java music visualization


hello, i am currently writing a lightweight media player in linux and am incorporating a visualization into it. i am wondering on the best method of making something pretty and reasonably low cpu load. im assuming the host computer wont have 3d graphics accleration and im usinf awt for the drawing at the moment. thanks for any suggestions.
