Java IDE or good text editor

I'm working on Java programming for a linux server, and I was wondering if there are any good editors/IDE that work better with Java than VI, emacs, Eclipse, or Netbeans.

Eclipse and Netbeans have set the standard for free IDE's. Are you strictly looking for free products? If not, you might want to look at JBuilder:

IntelliJ IDEA has a free version as well as payed for:

There is also Oracle JDeveloper:

For the benefit of others, which did you choose, and why?

I ended up using Vi, and Eclipse, which I was already using. It just took a little more time for me to get the projects I'm working with to work in eclipse.
