java hiding app in taskbar in kde?


i am trying to make a java app but i do not want it to appear in the task bar in windows if i use JWindow i can make it so it does not appear in the task bar however when i run it in kde i get a box saying "X" on the taskbar how can i make this disappear?

i know that it is possible as Azureus (p2p bittorrent java program) does this with the system tray thing?

any ideas or help would be appreciated!

Perhaps the systray code for Java my be useful? http://sourceforge.net/projects/systray/
