::Installing a PHP forum::

I have this new forum that I downloaded. It has a self installer 'install.php' and tell me to point my browser there and it'll walk you through the install. So I go to http://mysite.com/forum/install.php' and everything looks great so I click on 'Click here to continue with the next step -->' then it bring me to the URL: 'http://xxandyxx.cjb.net/forum/admin/install.php?step=2' but NOTHING changes. The page stays exactly the same the only thing that changes is the URL. PLEASE HELP! Is this an error in PHP script? Is there something wrong with my server?

-Thanks
Andy

So, you're ready to install Vbulletin. That means you have bought it (innocent until proven guilty). That also means you are entitled use their helpdesk. Please take your Vbulletin questions there.

I seem to remember something similar - I now use phpBB but I trialed a few boards. I think once I hit return and the address read step 2 I changed it to 3.

I can't really remember but it was something like that.

Any tut out there that runs thru Complete install

Any tut out there that runs thru Complete install.... i.e., phpbb2 and the MySql component.

I read a real good one for IIS, but I want to do all this in Linux.

Any info would be appreciated.
