I've used it a bit on *bloze and I like code::blocks very much. It's super because you can plug in many different compilers. But I haven't built it for Slackware yet, I really should get started.

You don't need to have a big project to like this ide. The guys really made a nice go of separating the IDE from the compiler (as well it should be), which isn't so true of certain other IDEs which shall remain nameless

i have become a big fan of eclipse lately. a mix of eclipse, cdt, and ant has really impressed me and has pretty well drawn me away from kdevelop. though if you dont have an extra couple hundred megs of mem, eclipse may not be the way to go..
