I need to fix some buttons in flash and don't know where to start.

Hello all,

I know nothing about Macromedia Flash, but that doesn't mean I don't have to fix it. I have a header with some buttons that link to different pages for a website. The buttons all point to the wrong pages, like "1.html" instead of "home.html".

It's an swf file, and I ran it through a hex editor, hoping I'd get lucky and find some strings but no luck.

I can't even find anything on Adobe's website like a free trial, then again, I don't know what I'm looking for, and Adobe has some terrible product names.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Can I fix this myself? I don't want to drop on a template service because it was their terrible services that got me in this position in the first place. I saw a tool once that was for fixing this specific problem, but I can't find it now.

Thanks.

You could use flash decompiler (there is one on Windows, not sure about Linux). You will get fla file, which you'll be able to edit and compile into swf again.
