htaccess url rewriting

Hi all,

Im new to .htaccess.please help me on the below query

Actually i want to re-write the below dynamic url

http://localhost/userx/project/produ...productid=7172

to

http://localhost/userx/project/books...tter/7172.html

Please help me how to re-write the above url...
