how to write a blu-ray menu script?

i'd like to be able to write a blu-ray menu script. the script would display on the TV screen:
1)current java version installed on the blu ray player

2)the java release date

3) if possible, the firmware version installed on the player

4) if possible, whether the player firmware is linux or some other os

anybody got any suggestions?
