How to use ncurses in GCC and how to compile?

When you go to compile, run
Code:
gcc ... -lncurses
Replace "..." with whichever options you would ordinarily use.

If you aren't familiar with writing code for curses, you might be interested in the NCURSES Programming Howto, which turned up first on a google search for "Ncurses howto".
