How to store text(strings) in a 2D character array reading from a text file(C++)

Hello everyone...
i m making a project in my college software competition.
i have to read text(like an email) from a text file and i have to store all the characters in a 2D array...
can u help me out??
i tried to do it... the program is working... but it shows some of the characters allright... but many weird characters in place of the correct characters...
I wil b grateful if u can help me quickly....

Well, showing us the broken code might help us fix it.

Make sure you use code tags.

Also, since it is an assignment, don't expect anyone to just give you the answer. You're not learning anything if we just tell you the answer.

its not an assignment... its a competition... i was able to fix it however... thnx for ur help....
