Question How to run an Java Applet in Linux....plz help....URGENT!!!!


Hi all....am new to Linux...i hav a simple applet game...i want to run that in Linux...i have compiled the code...i hav tried it running from the html page...it was throwing a message like "Missing plug-in's"

Can any one tell me the steps to run an applet in Linux....

You'll need to give more information. Listing the specific error messages you get, and giving an example of the html code where you embed the applet would also help.

running an applet in linux requires a browser with aa acitvated java plugin as on any other platform. Maybe you have to download a JavaRuntimeEnvironment but that should usually come with your distro.

Have you installed a JRE for your browser?
If not - please do that first - that should resolve the issue you're encountering now!
