How to provide root passwds in programs as strings

I'm on a project which includes a session for the super user.....I'm planning to use execlp() for provising the su command..and its works ok......But now I'm trying to create an interface using Glade.........This requires passwords to be accepted as strings and the provide it to the program............How can I provide string to su???? Is there any other wy to do this????????

Use sudo instead of su.
