how to open a dilog on local machine when i do ssh to remote machine

HI

I was doing some networking stuff when i encoutered this problem.

I want to do ssh from my computer to a remote computer and i want a dialog box to appear in response that asks for the password instead of asking the password in an xterm.

do i have to edit the ssh script or is there any other way out.

Can anyone help me out plz!!!!!!!!!!!:o

SSH is not a script, it's a full-fledged C program. You can build a QT/GTK+ wrapper around it, or perhaps you could find some GUI program out there already. But there's no way to just "edit" it.

What exactly is QT/GTK+ wrapper and how would be wrapped around ssh?

Basically, you'd need to write your own ssh client. Though there's probably something out there: search for 'ssh gui' on freshmeat.net.
