How to make a Mozilla plugin
 

Hi,
I want to design a Mozilla toolbar/plugin and a Thunderbird plugin as well. But the Mozilla.org doesn't provide much literature on the way to go about this. Google results were also futile.
Could any one guide me into the procedure about the all this ???
